I oversee the Smart Pass system in our school district and one of the things that my principal asks me to do is to produce a report each month specifically detailing which kids are consistently over their pass time limit. I’d love to see a rollout of some basic analytics features. Off the top of my head I would say….

Report on students consistently over the set pass time limit.
Report of total pass usage per month.
Reports for most common ‘origin’ and ‘destination’.

While you can do all this in Excel, it does take time and a little know how. Also, the way Smart Pass exports time in the CSV file makes no sense to Excel. I actually had to pay an Excel expert to help me come up with a formula to help convert Smart Pass time into a time format that Excel could understand. Only then could I sort pass data by pass duration. So, some analytics features would really help save time for end users who are being asked to produce data for their districts.

Absolutely! We need a customizable, graphical dashboard with pre-made and customizable reports that can be run manually or e-mailed to specific administrators daily.
