Auto approval from kiosk mode#221

When students create a pass in Kiosk Mode, it would not require teacher approval so that educators don’t need to continue to have it open in multiple places/stop instruction to approve passes.

I agree. The whole purpose of Kiosk mode is so that teachers have already approved the student by allowing them to go to the kiosk.

Agreed - this should be extended as an option for all teachers across rooms. For example, teachers can set passes to be auto-approved for specific locations based on the teacher preference. I may be ok with students creating passes to a bathroom and the pass being auto-approved (as long as there is not a waiting line) but another teahcer may want students to ask and individually approve passes. This was a feature in another e-pass provider program we previously used and the teachers loved it.

I would like to add on to this that from Kiosk mode, it doesn’t require teacher pin to approve a pass to a room with restrictions. I am a school social worker so I have a 1 pass limit on my room and have it set up for me to approve the passes before they again. As its set up from Kiosk mode, it asks for teacher approval before even sending the pass to me which causes the teachers to stop teaching to help which defeats the whole purpose of kiosk mode which is self-service.

students who wait in line should have their pass auto start when they are next in line.
