Integrated Classroom + Restroom Queue Controls#1785

D

Currently, the queueing system only accounts for destination capacity (ie., maximum students allowed in a restroom). It does not account for classroom-level limitations at the same time.

At our school, the policy is:

-Maximum of 4 students in a restroom at once.

-Only 1 student out of each classroom at a time.

Right now, I can approve a student’s pass to enter the restroom queue, but the system does not prevent a second student from my class from joining or moving through the queue while another student from my class is already out.

Requested Feature:
Allow schools to combine destination limits and classroom limits within the queue system.

Specifically:

Teachers should be able to approve a pass so a student enters the queue.

That pass should only move from “queued” to “active” when:

  1. A restroom spot becomes available and

  2. No other student from that classroom is currently out.

Right now, the queue system only solves half the problem. Integrating classroom constraints into the automatic queue logic would make the feature significantly more effective and aligned with how schools actually operate.
