Issue Summary: We have disabled the “SmartPass on mobile” feature; however, a workaround allows students to manage active passes on their phones.
The Workflow: A student initiates a pass on their laptop (as permitted).
While in the hallway, the student logs into SmartPass on their mobile device.
Despite the mobile block, the active “Green Pass” still appears, allowing the student to end the pass remotely.
Impact: Students are ending their passes prematurely from the hallway to hide late returns to class.
Requested Fix: When the mobile feature is disabled, can you ensure that students are restricted from viewing or ending any active passes via a mobile browser or app, regardless of where the pass was started?
I’m aware we can enable “Restrict Ending Passes” for specific rooms which requires students to use either a room code or teacher approval pin to end passes, preventing premature endings regardless of device. However, this causes the teacher to stop what they’re doing and end a student pass, negating the benefit of student created passes.
