We use a few locations where students can work independently, (hallway, library). It is helpful to have those passes running so everyone can see who is in those locations, and to keep a limit on how many students access the space from various rooms. However, that adds to the total pass time, even though they are still doing classwork. It would be helpful to exempt certain passes from counting towards “total pass time” so that number would more accurately reflect time out of class.
