We offer our flex periods very flexibly. We do not have a standard “every Tuesday” or every 3rd Friday. Our activities never repeat. We offer these according to our calendar and what seems like a practical day to do it. When I set up our New Flex Period, I am forced to choose what day the flex period will repeat. Can’t you just eliminate this?
As an admin or teacher, I can work around this, but when I look at the student view, the daily message (IN RED) reminds students that they need to sign up for a flex period on days that there is no flex offered. This is very confusing and upsetting to students thinking that they have to sign up, when indeed another flex period is not offered.
For instance, our next flex periods are Thursday, Nov. 6 and Wed., Nov. 19. I was forced to say they repeat every Wed. and Thurs. So, on the student view, they see for Wed., Oct. 22, they have to sign up for a flex period - but there is no flex period on that day. I am flooded with upset emails from students who are confused and frustrated.
